Experience the unique Japanese Nawrap Binchotan Dishcloths in your home. These dishcloths have been infused with binchotan charcoal, a natural anti-odor agent. This ensures that your dishcloth, which is constantly damp, will last longer and always smell fresh. With 6 layers of material, these dishcloths offer superior absorbency and durability. During production, a temporary starch coating is applied to prevent the layers from shifting. As a result, the dishcloths may initially feel stiff, but they will become incredibly soft with continued use. To accelerate the softening process, simply soak them in boiling water a few times. While these dishcloths are washing machine safe, please avoid using bleach and do not put them in the dryer. They are made of 82% rayon and 18% cotton, containing the highest grade of binchotan.

In 1930, Nawrap started as a mosquito net manufacturing company and later expanded into creating beautiful home textiles. Today, Nawrap is a fourth-generation family business based in Nara, Japan.

Binchotan charcoal is renowned for its natural purification properties. For centuries, it has been used in Japan to purify water and air. The charcoal naturally absorbs odor, which tends to accumulate in fabric. Once infused in the fibers, the charcoal remains permanently effective, ensuring that it won't wash out.

Traditional Japanese Weaving

Every Nawrap product is made using a traditional Japanese weaving technique in Nara, Japan. The fabric is incredibly strong, absorbent, and quick-drying. It also becomes softer with use.

Dishcloths have highest grade binchotan charcoal infused into their fibers. The charcoal naturally absorbs odors that commonly accumulate in dishcloths. 6-ply construction ensures superior absorbency and durability. Traditional Japanese weaving technique allows the fabric to become softer and more absorbent over time. Micro pulls appear on the surface, resulting in a softer texture. The unique weave pattern prevents pulls from spreading. Initially, the fabric may be stiff but it will become incredibly soft with use. To speed up softening, soak in hot water. The feel and texture of this dishcloth differ from conventional ones. The dishcloths can be washed in the machine, but please note that the color will fade slightly and the cloth will shrink by 10 to 15% after the first wash. Avoid using bleach and do not tumble dry. *Includes three dishcloths with dimensions of 13.5 x 13.5" (35 x 35cm). One side features turquoise, coral, and citrus colors, while the reverse side is binchotan gray.
